Nothing new, just got pushed into the spotlight by Trump's administration and their self-righteous pride, the other reason why though once okay those with money to get a visa and travel abroad are the wealthier or Diddy supporters who fled. We were NEVER welcomed with open arms and always being cautious in their approach. Most ignored us completely. Bars, strip clubs and local street markets were the most okay with it. Though, I don't think this narrator/writer actually understands US citizens. I have never heard any American saying, "I want to retire in Mexico" with how long that animosity has existed politically.
