@DeimosSaturn: clickbait trash. The scarab-sized drone has been around for over a decade, they were tethered to their control system and power source then, and they still are now. This is not a new thing. This is clickbait. Shame on you. Reported for deceitful thumbnail and descxtion

= @billycarr7446: They copied the hummingbird. War is getting weird. All the old rules have to be adapted to the new paradigm and it is likely just getting started. Drones were just that first whoopsi on the roller coaster ride. It is going to get faster and we haven't even reached the section with a near vertical drop with a triple roll.

I will live every day thanking the creator for every day I’m alive, Peace to all. Thank you, What a Ride. Planet Earth Rules!!!!!

@keyboarderror1: I was thinking of the 1970's sci fi story "Danny Dunn, Invisible Boy" where a kid flies a dragonfly drone. This is even smaller.
@kylechappell1694: How does it handle turbulence though? Such a small unit cant be all that stable
@Onz33Onz33: This is the most stupid invention ever... All uu need is to pulse it then kaboom...STUPID

@canavanibus: They managed to make mosquitoes even more annoying.

@dylanpyle6500: Laser microphone is a lot more desreate though and requires a window
@Intelligence\\\\_Failure: no need, everybody carries their own surveillance device, it's called a smartphone
@cr1424: Bingo, if you don't believe it, just talk about something you want from amazon, then the ads will appear
@Intelligence\\\\_Failure: @cr1424well, that's the kind of thing done by mobile apps or website or operating system by way of users unknowingly agreeing to terms and conditions of some sort that contain all sorts of data collection (I think the main thing that listens by microphone actually is that people have those voice-activated assistant functions like siri turned on, which obviously literally always record audio). governments and other shady corporations also use malware like pegasus that can access all data and all sensors on a phone, including microphones and cameras without the device showing their activation, and login data either from memory or recorded live while the user accesses an account.

@Lucius4992: True. I have a cat that is 90% blind and catches flies mid air upon hearing them.
@mrlautomotive712: It can still be detected because of being electric.
@JamesAuric: and if not then there are laser based mosquito detectors (bzigo). They seem to work and point where these little vampires are sitting or flying. They hide like if they can become invisible. That's why nature gave them a little drawback, a handicap, the high pitched noise we all hate.
@johnsmith-000: This "cord" is an antenna, simply a piece of wire. It can be hidden in the drone body, but the reception, and the flight radius would be smaller. Fiber drones are connected with operator via optical fiber, so they can't be detected and/or jammed using RF signals. The downside is that the drone must carry the fiber cartridge, typically the size of one liter bottle or thereabouts. Also, fiber can get entangled wit the tree branches or other obxts. I love electronics and gadgets, but will keep fly swatter at hand, just in case. If it's use by the government, it's certainly for the bad purpose...

@unitedstatesofarabia22: It looks like the design was based on a dragon fly. It had 4 wings and most likely each wing is separately controlled for areal maneuver. It can fly in any direction and change course in a split second
@onlinebills9169: I dont know how much money they invested in this technology, but I bought a 2-pack of fly swatters from Family Dollar for \\\\$1.25.

@OKtGCGOEM1SS: MIT and China’s National University of Defense Technology have both developed insect-scale flying robots that mimic the size and agility of mosquitoes. These tiny bots weigh less than a paperclip and can perform complex aerial maneuvers like flips and rolls. MIT’s version can hover for over 1,000 seconds ...not to mention DARPA's version.
